The staff was amazing. Helped us so much and even with our new I-pads. The breakfast was great each morning and being able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful flowers just made the trip. Our rooms were large and adequate in everyway and I would recommend Hotel Palazzo Murat to anyone wanting a wonderful get away. We had one dinner at the hotel restaurant and it too was great. It was nice to have the restaurant so close so when you are tired and don't want to go far it is right at the doorstep.
Location plays a huge part in deciding where to stay and in Positano Palazzo Murat had the best location for the beach, access to boat tours, close to buses& taxis. It also has a wonderful restaurant, rooms with balconies , ours had a view of the sea, the ridge where most of Positano seems to live, and the rooms were a good size and very comfortable.. The staff were attentive and helpful but not too obtrusive . Our stay was relaxing and convinced us that we should return to this part of Italy again and our first choice of accomodstion would br Palazzo Murat!
It would be nice, but necessary , to have robes in the bedrooms
Everything was absolutely perfect. From all "questionable" pricey hotel I couldn't be more happier with Palazzo Murat. Compliments to staff and perfect scenery inside the hotel.
Has impressive history that dates back over 100 years.Excellent garden setting of a Palazzo, although not on a luxury note, but genuine feature.Service was warn and genuine.Breakfast setting on terrace garden was excellent. Location right onto the village lane is excellent.
Very central to everything a lovely quiet oasis in a busy place dont expect sea views but lovely gardens nice for small wedding .staff very professional.we stayed for 5days v relaxing no pool but just a short walk to beach.would recommend to friends
Our magnificent view and the loveliness of the room itself. The staff upgraded us to an even better room for no additional cost and were wonderful.
A real luxury in a romantic setting!
Great location! Just a short walk to the beach. And the hotel is beautiful, especially the gardens. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, and spent each evening having cocktails on the outdoor patio. This stay was the highlight of our Amalfi Coast trip!
Our room/balcony was on the ground floor, overlooking the outdoor dining space. Would've been nice to have been elevated, with a better view. But understand that those rooms cost more.
Comfort,beauty,service and thoughtfulness.
The hotel was in the middle of all the activity in Positano and has a beautiful setting
Sitting in the garden either in the bar or the restuarant. Very pretty and relaxing
The bath anod shower were not great. The bath was too narrow for my husband to lie in and on a slope to stand in for the shower
comfort of room and friendlyness of hotel staff
it is very noicy from other rooms
The family operated hotel, with an elegant atmosphere, providing a comfortable, friendly environment with an attentive staff ready to assist you in any way.
The attentiveness, courtesy and friendliness of the staff, from the concierge onwards. They couldn't have been more helpful! The Palazzo is a wonderful example of an old building well maintained and cared for without making it into a glitzy hotel. Its furnishings are old and beautiful, and the colours suit the interior. Overall it is characterized by a calm that is refreshing in bussling Positano which tends to be full of tourists. Also worth mentioning is its garden restaurant which is excellent, and offers very good value for money. The Palazzo's gardens are truly lovely and excellently maintained. They are 'working' gardens in that many of the vegetables and fruits used in the restaurant are grown there. A wonderful place!
The only thing that might be improved are the narrow baths which make showering a tad difficult. People with large feet, or large people, would have difficulty standing as there is not much space to place one's feet. The bathrooms are a reasonable size and could easily accommodate wider baths.
The hotel is in a wonderful location close to the beach and to shopping and dining in Positano. The grounds are beautifully maintained and have the feel of being in a tropical location. The staff has been polite, friendly and helpful, and Positano itself is breathtaking. We will definitely be back and will be staying at the Palazzo Murat again.
